Sub-Metering In applications where there is only one utility meter and multiple users of energy, it is often necessary to determine the energy usage of individual users in order to equitably divide the energy bill. Such applications include berths at marina, individual camp sites in recreation areas and trailer parks, and individual stores in shopping centres. Carlo Gavazzi have a number of meters and transducers that can monitor energy usage (kwh) and can be installed at each individual location. The energy usage can be read manually or they can be connected via RS485 back to a computer for automatic reading. Furthermore, our meters also have provisions for accepting contact inputs from water and gas meters. This allows a computer to read energy, gas, and water usage from a single meter.
